Morning Duas

 

(Arabic + Roman Urdu + English Translation)

أَصْـبَحْنا وَأَصْبَـحَ المُـلكُ للهِ رَبِّ العالَمينَ

Asbahnaa wa asbahal-mulku lillaahi Rabbil-‘aalameen.

We have entered a new morning and with it all dominion belongs to Allah, the Lord of the worlds.

اللّهُـمَّ إِنِّـي أَسْـأَلُكَ خَـيْرَ هَـذَا اليَـوْمِ: فَـتْحَهُ، وَنَصْـرَهُ، وَنـوْرَهُ، وَبَـرَكَتَـهُ، وَهُـداهُ

Allaahumma inni as’aluka khayra haazal-yawm, fathaahu, wa nasrahu, wa noorahu, wa barakatahu, wa hudaahu.

O Allah, I ask You for the goodness of this day – its victory, its help, its light, its blessings, and its guidance.

وَأَعـوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَـرِّ ما فـيهِ، وَشَـرِّ ما بَعْـدَه

Wa a‘oodhu bika min sharri maa feehi wa sharri maa ba‘dahu.

And I seek refuge in You from the evil of this day and the evil of what comes after it.

أَصْبَـحْنا عَلـى فِطْـرَةِ الإِسْلامِ، وَعَلـى كَلِـمَةِ الإِخْـلاصِ، وَعَلـى دِيـنِ نَبِـيِّنا مُحَـمَّدٍ ﷺ، وَعَلـى مِلَّـةِ أَبـينا إِبْراهيمَ حَنيفـاً مُسلِـماً وَمـا كانَ مِنَ المُشْرِكينَ

Asbahnaa ‘ala fitratil-Islam, wa ‘ala kalimatil-ikhlaas, wa ‘ala deeni nabiyyinaa Muhammad ﷺ, wa ‘ala millati abeenaa Ibraaheem, haneefan musliman wa maa kaana minal-mushrikeen.

We have entered the morning upon the natural religion of Islam, the word of sincere devotion, the religion of our Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, and the way of our forefather Abraham — who was upright, a Muslim, and not among those who associate partners with Allah.

اللَّهُمَّ بِكَ أَصْبَحْنَا، وَبِكَ أَمْسَيْنَا، وَبِكَ نَحْيَا، وَبِكَ نَمُوتُ، وَإِلَيْكَ النُّشُورُ

Allaahumma bika asbahnaa, wa bika amsaynaa, wa bika nahyaa, wa bika namootu, wa ilaykan-nushoor.

O Allah, by You we enter the morning, by You we enter the evening, by You we live and die, and to You is the resurrection.

اللّهُـمَّ إِنِّـي أَسْـأَلُكَ عِلْـماً نافِعاً، وَرِزْقاً طَيِّـباً، وَعَمَلاً مُتَقَبَّـلاً

Allaahumma inni as’aluka ‘ilman naafi‘an, wa rizqan tayyiban, wa ‘amalan mutaqabbalan.

O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, pure sustenance, and accepted deeds.

حَسْبِىَ اللَّهُ لا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ، عَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ، وَهُوَ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ

Hasbiyallaahu laa ilaaha illaa Huwa, ‘alayhi tawakkaltu wa Huwa Rabbul-‘Arshil-‘Azeem.

Allah is sufficient for me; there is no god but He. I have placed my trust in Him, and He is the Lord of the Mighty Throne.
